Park Policy


Check In / Check Out times at Madison Valley Campground

Check-in is at 2 PM MST and entitles you to your site until 11 AM the day of your check-out. Early check-in is not permitted at the Madison Valley Ennis Campground location. The guests who paid for the site the night before you have paid for their site until noon. We will not ask a guest to leave so that you can check in early. If you will be arriving in the area early, please make arrangements until your site opens up at 2 PM MST. Our campground is extremely tight on parking and we do not have a waiting area for those checking in early. Check-out time is no later than 12 PM. You do not need to contact the office for checkout, but please be sure to leave your site as clean or cleaner than you found it. Sites that require additional cleanup by our staff including trash or pet waste will incur an additional clean-up fee of $75.

Check in’s after 10 PM MST are not allowed as a courtesy to those staying at the campground.

Site Changes

You have been assigned a specific site, if you wish to move please check with the office. Due to reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible. Please inquire before moving sites.

Fires

The City of Ennis does not allow campfires inside the city limits, so, fires are not allowed.

Please do not park your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges.

Storage

Storage is not allowed under or around your RV or picnic table. You are in BEAR country! Please make sure all food storage and disposal are done using appropriate containers.

Site and Park Navigation

Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk between sites when navigating the park. Please use main roads, sidewalks, and designated public paths to walk around the campground.

Washing

Washing RVs or vehicles is only permitted with 1 bucket of water and a sponge. Hose washing is not permitted as it can result in a mess and disturb your neighbors.

Rugs

Rugs are not allowed on the grass as they kill the grass, and we want your site to look good for both you and the next guest so please keep rugs on gravel surfaces.

Pet Policies

Leash

We ask that you always keep your pets on a leash. This helps you, your pet, and other guests and other guests’ pets stay safe.

Buildings

Pets are not allowed in the buildings/bathrooms for any reason. County code laws do not allow pets in our building. Please do not tie your pet to our trees, doors, or posts.

Cleaning Up After Your Pet

Be a good neighbor and please use the dog walk area and clean up after your pet always. Do not let your pet deposit waste on your site or any of our other guests’ sites please. Failure to clean up after your pet will result in you being asked to leave without a refund. There are two areas with dog clean-up stations and bags provided. PLEASE USE THEM!

Leaving Pets Unattended

Pets may not be left unattended in our park. Please do not tie your pet to a tree and leave. Leaving your pets unattended is dangerous for your pet as many factors including weather, power outages, etc. can affect your pet’s well-being while you are away.

Pet Vaccinations

Due to Insurance Requirements, all pets must be vaccinated in our park. Please make sure your pet’s shots are up-to-date.

Barking

Excessive barking is not tolerated and disturbs your neighbors. Please note that excessive barking may result in you being asked to leave without a refund.

Vehicle Policies

Speed Limit

The park speed limit is 5 mph. This policy is to keep you, your children, and your pets safe. Exceeding this speed limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings will require us to ask you to leave. Safety is our number one priority for our guests.

Parking

Each paid guest registration covers 1 RV per site and 1 vehicle per site unless noted. Extra vehicles will need to be approved by MVCG staff. Please do not park on our grass. Ruts caused in your site due to additional vehicles will result in damage charges.

Trailers, Boats, and additional vehicles will cost additional fees for camping. A nightly registration covers 1 RV and 1 vehicle only.

No parking in common areas. Do not park in the middle of the road. Do not park in sites that you did not register for and do not block our garages or our bathroom and laundry room doors. Parking on the grass is not permitted at RV Sites or in tent areas.

ATV’s. Dirt Bikes, Motorcycles, and Golf Carts

OHVs/UTVs are welcome onsite but may not be used within the park and will count toward your vehicle allowance. They may ONLY get to and from your site.

General Park Policies

Severe Weather

In case of severe weather, seek shelter in the bathrooms, office, or laundry room. We love pets, so please bring them with you and please do not leave them in your RV during severe weather warnings.

Visitors

Overnight visitors are not allowed without prior consent. Other visitors must leave by 10:00 PM MST. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors follow all campground rules. The registered guest will be held responsible for the actions of their visitors.

Electrical Use

You are responsible for understanding how many amps you are using in your RV. Amp usage over the 30/50 AMPs provided can trip your breaker. Please be mindful of your amp usage, so that you don’t trip your breaker during your stay.

Please notify the office so that we can notify maintenance if you have any electrical issues during your stay. Guests are not permitted to diagnose our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements. Maintenance is happy to help. Even if you are an electrician, laws prohibit you from working on our pedestals unless hired to do so.

Laundry

The laundry room is open 24/7. Change and Vending available. Please do not leave your laundry unattended. We are not responsible for accidents or theft. Please leave the laundry room clean and orderly. Of note, the laundry room is under video surveillance. Absolutely no smoking inside the laundry room.

Restrooms

For the comfort of all our guests, restrooms are open 24/7 with exception of a temporary closing for cleaning once/twice per day. We ask for your help in keeping the restrooms clean, please. Guest under the age of 18 need adult supervision in the bathrooms and showers. Absolutely no smoking inside the restrooms. Front bathrooms are closed in winter.

Quiet Time Policies

Quiet time is 10 PM to 7 AM. Anyone playing loud music will be warned only once and then asked to leave without a refund.

Trash Disposal

Trash cans are located toward the back of the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the trash container. If the first can is full, please find another container. Please do not place your trash on the ground. You’re in Montana and we have all kinds of wildlife not welcome on our property including bears! Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic waste or chemicals in our trash cans. Trash is emptied a few times per week. Times may vary due to maintenance scheduling requirements throughout the day.

Children

Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Main Street is a very busy road and with all the vehicles in our lot, it can be dangerous for children running between cars. You are responsible for your children!

Clotheslines

Clotheslines are not permitted in our park.

Fireworks and Firearms

Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited in our park. The prohibiting of fireworks includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers. The prohibiting of firearms includes all guns including airsoft, BB, and pellet guns. If these items are seen outside of your RV, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Hunting & Fishing

Hunting & Fishing is what we are all about at MVCG and we welcome you all! That said, cleaning, butchering, and disposal of any/all game in the campground is prohibited. Demo’s Meats (right adjacent to the campground) would be happy to handle this for you!

Repairs

Minor Repairs to RVs and vehicles are permitted in our park. We are also happy to recommend a local RV Repair Service that can assist you with any repairs.

Vehicle repairs are not allowed on the campground.

Safety and Emergencies

Please provide Emergency Contact Information by emailing camp@madisonvalleycomground.com. This information remains private and used only when a situation arises when we need to contact someone in the event of an emergency or is sought by law enforcement agencies. We never give personal information out to others.

If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern, call (406) 682-4430 24 hours a day.

If you need to call 911 for any reason, and time allows, please call the office so the maintenance staff can be prepared to escort the emergency personnel to your site.
